The Cork Model Aero Club (est.1949) is one of, if not the longest established model flying club in Ireland. Its main aim is to promote the enjoyment and safe flying of model aircraft in a friendly environment. We encourage people from all groups to get involved as it is a wonderful hobby that will stay with you for life.
We have a number of sites (indoor and outdoor) in Co. Cork, catering for most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) such as, "gliders", "helicopters", "quadcopters", and "fixed wing planes". We fly mainly on weekends and often during the week, weather permitting.

Membership of a club is the best way of getting maximum enjoyment out of the hobby. You will meet plenty of like minded people, but also benefit through:
Membership of the Model Aeronautics Council of Ireland (MACI), where you will get the latest news on activity around the country.
Insurance from the MACI. This insures you to fly at our club site, but also as a visitor, on the sites of other clubs affiliated with the MACI.
A safe environment to fly in, where you have access to instructors and experienced pilots.
Adherence to the relevant rules and regulations agreed between the IAA and the MACI.
The opportunity to fly more advanced aircraft, that cannot be flown anywhere other than a dedicated airfield - large models with internal combustion engines for example.
N.B. Please contact us Here for more information...or send a message to 085 7289105.
